Takefusa Kubo is a Japanese professional footballer born on June 4, 2001, in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan. Known for his agility, technical skills and vision. Kubo primarily plays as a right winger or attacking midfielder. His football journey began at a young age. And his talent quickly caught international attention.

At just 10 years old, Kubo joined FC Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy. Making him one of the few Japanese players to be accepted into the program. However, due to FIFA regulations regarding the transfer of underage players. He was forced to leave the club in 2015. He then returned to Japan and joined FC Tokyo, where he made his professional debut in 2017 at the age of 15.
In 2019, Kubo signed with Real Madrid. But he was loaned out to several La Liga clubs including RCD Mallorca, Villarreal, Getafe, and Mallorca again. These loans were crucial for his development. Allowing him to gain valuable experience in Spain’s top division.

In 2022, Kubo transferred permanently to Real Sociedad. Where he has become a key player. His 2022–23 season was particularly impressive, helping Sociedad qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
